We are thrilled to announce that the Development Application (DA) for the new RFDS Wellbeing Place in Broken Hill has been approved!

The new Wellbeing Place will provide a connection to the community, with a building that accommodates and provides support, treatment, as well as education about mental health issues.

Many thanks to the whole Consultant & Client team who worked so diligently to provide a design to capture the RFDS vision. Integrated Design Group (IDG) the Architect for the scheme sums it up nicely: “Through collaboration we have worked to create an inviting place, evoking a feeling of calm and security. Contemporising the traditional pitched forms of the ‘homestead’ creating instinctual connections to the sense of home. Reviving an industrial site in the centre of town to which the Wellbeing Place looks to create a destination for different communities. Reshaping how a clinical space can provide care.”
